> there u will find entry with as follows
> id:3:initdefault
> please change 3 to 5
> and reboot the system
Throw those Microsoft habit out of windows :-)
Under Linux U need never reboot your machine.
After U make the suggested changes run
# telinit 5
Yes! U have to be root to make the changes.
>From your next bootup you will be in GUI.
