I am using OSS drivers, too.I don't have any problems -- I
wasn't following the thread -- I'm using ESS 1869 based drivers,
though my card is ESS 1868 based Chipset.... and it works fine.. and
mixer/xmms with my mp3z work great... no difference in quality between
sound under linux and sound under win2k. So also, Yamaha OPL-3-SAX OSS
drivers under linux/windows ... no disparity in quality... works great.
