What kind of files? Plain text, HTML, pdf, ...? The ones mentioned will print
from windows without problems (pdf will need Acrobat reader). printer binaries
are postscript files, *.ps.
Try setting up a similar printer, might work for you( It works for me, mine is
an officially unsupported printer, but it prints in Linux too)
