yes,
if you use Gnome Desktop Environment, click on the mp3 files in the file
explorer, the files will run simultaneously. other way is, by command line
options, run the following commands:
mpg123 file1.mp3 &
mpg123 file2.mp3 &
mpg123 file3.mp3 &
all the above files will be played simultaneously. You'll have to Kill the
process by using 'ps' and 'kill -9' commands.
and ofcourse Linux is better than Windoze...
