Subject: [LIH] Help with display and sound (Redhat 6.1)

Hi,

I installed Redhat 6.1 on my PC sometime back. I am unable to configure X
server
and sound on it. Here are the details of my PC:

Vintron Intel 810e motherboard with onboard sound and video card.
The manual of the motherboard doesn't mention much about the soundcard or
the
video card.

I tried using the i810 driver available at the intel's site, but it gave me
a
display of 320x... resolution. Xconfigurator gives a resolution of 640x480
pixels.

I have Samsung Samtron 55V monitor which can support upto 1024x768 at 60Hz.

Any pointers as to what should be done?

Also, I have a Motorola SM56 internal modem. As far as I know, it wont work
under linux. But still, maybe it is possible. If so, how?

Thanks,

Alok
