        I am assuming you are talking about RedHat 6.1 or greater. The 
tool that you are talking about is "kudzu" -- goto /etc/init.d/rc.d or 
wherever  RedHat stores its init scripts -- if thats uncomfortable, use 
linuxconf -- put "kudzu" on the list of startup scripts to be run.
