Proxy is not essential to route your packets from intranet to internet if
ipmasq/ipchains commnads are set accordingly

apache uses port 80 as a proxy if it is configured for proxy. see for
proxy configuration in /etc/httpd/httpd.conf file and rerun thr httpd
