Hi!
In RH 6.2 it seems there is a problem with /bin/true (used for ftp
accounts) . When I try to do a ftp to the machine running 6.2
(shutils-2.0.5), it says login failed,
Entry in /etc/passwd (not shadowed) shows like below.
user:somecrypts:233:233:Name:/bin/true
But when I change it to /bin/bash, it works fine. Has anybody faced
similar kind of problem? or Is there something else to be done?
* I havent tried yet with a downgraded sh-utils. *
Also when I change the passwd it puts an "x" in the password field, though
the passwd file is not shadowed! ANy indicators?
