Skip the "X -probeonly" phase. Save and exit. From the command line
run # X -probeonly and report the output.
Also, check:
1) Whether the "agpgart.o" module is loaded /after/ you do the X
-probeonly using "lsmod".
2) Whether /etc/conf.modules has the entry "alias char-major-10-175
agpgart"
