Hi,
One cardinal mistake during install is choosing graphical
login. That's because if ur X-server is not properly configured
you wont get anything meaningful. You've got two options

1) boot from the boot floppy if you created one during
install and mount your partition where linux is located
(if ur not sure cfdisk will tell you). Fire xf86config or
xconfigurator to configure the x-server.
2) boot from installation cd and mount the lin part'n same way
from the boot : prompt and proceed as above.

p.s ~~> Look in the archives, before posting.....
This topic has been discussed loads.

bye
Kaushik

>Recently I have upgraded my system from RedHat 6.1 to 6.2 (using PCQ-CD).
However, ever since the upgradadtion, my X-server crashes whenever I
shutdown or reboot the machine from login window (I run with init level 5
with X-Windows showing the Login screen). Otherwise the system is normal. It
also displays the message (only sometime)

>X-Server can not connect to :0.0........etc.etc.
