i guess most of the notebooks run Linux fine... I've got a Compaq Laptop, which
runs Linux _or_ FBSD pretty kewl. I guess H/W support for Linux is no longer a 
problem as it was a few years ago... most distros' install proggies come with
pcmcia support (atleast Slackware does).
