Need more info about your graphics card. But first, take a look at 
http://www.exocore.com/linux/ there is likely to be something there to
help you. The list archives have a lot on this too.

There *are* apps on linux for pretty much any task :). However having
Winduhs can be useful! Check out \usr\docs\Howto\mini\Linux+* . There
are docs on co-existing with many other OSes on your system. Be
advised, though, that you will most probably have to re-partition your
HDD.

A piece of advice: Put a relevent subject line on your posts. When you
have to wade through literally hundreds of mails a day (like poor bozos
like Suresh Ramasubramanium have to ;) ), subject lines are the only
way to decide whether to read or just delete. A good subject line is
more likely to get your message read.
