Like I said earlier - http://linuxindia.virtualave.net/vsnlcon.html
In brief, set the flag o HoldExpensive=True in /etc/sendmail.cf. This
will queue mails on your local box. Then, when you connect, issue
the command /usr/sbin/sendmail -q to send mails.
Also set the DS flag to your.isps.smtp.server (i.e DS
bom6.vsnl.net.in) in sendmail.cf to relay through your ISP's smtp
server. Don't go about sending mails directly from your linux box's
sendmail. Several ISPs have rulesets which will reject mails which
come from dialups (instead of through an MX). Also, this way, you
don't have to go around handling DNS lookups and attempting to
deliver mails - and your pipe to the net is _far_ narrower than your
ISP's.
Of course, remember to stop your sendmail before editing
sendmail.cf :)

Use procmail to distribute mail to each folder. Or use fetchmail in
multidrop mode (which is less reliable).
The vsnlcon.html page above has a detailed howto. If you still face
hassles, just read the LI archives - I've lost count of how many
times I've posted this howto ;)
