Hi,

Installed Win98 on /dev/hda1 [Don't ask me why!]
Then proceeded to install

/dev/hda2 / upto 999 Cylinder
/dev/hda3 swap 128 MB onwards
/dev/hda4 /info rest of the HDD

Thus taking care that the / falls within 1024 cyl. All the Linux
partitions are ReiserFS formatted at the installation time.
At the time of installing LILO while completing a fresh install
for SuSE, I get the following error...

Hole in the map file [page_acces_fault].

What I am doing different from what I used to do earlier is that
1. my /boot is not a separate partition.
2. swap is between [physically] / and /info <which is an empy partition>
   at the time of installation.

Earlier I had HDD dedicated totally to Linux and had an elaborate scheme
of
some 9 partitions.

What I can do different from that is...

1. Apply ext2fs on both partitions?
2. Relocate swap..

What gives? And why?
anyone?

Rohit
