In my office I have a Win98 system with 4.3 GB HDD with C: drive 2 GB
and D: drive 2.3 GB with 64 MB of RAM.
Display Adapter card is Intel (R) 810 Chipset Graphics driver
4.11.01.2523

I made a Non-DOS Partition in D: drive using FDISK and allocated 1.2 GB
for installing Linux.

I inserted June PCQuest CD into CD-ROM drive and started the
installation. I couldn't do the graphical installation
and the message came that "Couldn't open the display Panel. Abnormal
program termination. Sending all processes kill
all signals Ejecting CD ROM".

Then I tried the text based installation.I defined Linux swap, Linux
Native partitions, gave the root password and added
one user. Then the software packages were extracted from the CDROM and
during the Post install , the installation terminated
abnormally and the CD got ejected.

In PC Quest CD it is displayed that support is there for Intel Chipset
drivers.

My e-mail id is [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Kindly help in this matter.

Regards,

Suresh
