You need to edit your /etc/resolv.conf
It should look something like -
search [satyam's_nameserver] - maybe satyam.net.in, you have to
nameserver 202.141.13.50
nameserver 202.144.10.50
It might work. Tho I have an account with Satyam, I use another ISP
from my Lin box.
