Joseph John forced the electrons to say:
> 1) what is this service ?local ? which comes after linuxconf,

local is the service that activates your individual preferences. The
script that is run is /etc/rc.d/rc.local (in RHL), and you can put any
startup customisation that you want in that file. For example, all my office
firewalling rules are setup from that file.

> 2) why the message like ?can?t locate module ??. ?

Depends on which module are we talking about. Please tell us the exact name of
the module.

> 3) Why those messages are not recorded in ?/var/log/boot.log?

They are logged only if the script has anything to log. And by default, there
is nothing for rc.local to log about.
