Maybe the package requires the old Qt. In that case you need to search the 
old QTs' in your hdd and assign their path to configure at command line. I 
had a similar problem while installing KMP3 which required QT<=1.45 which i 
found somewhere in my HDD and the tar.gz file compiled happily..
