How much memory do you have on the system? If it's more than 60m then
maybe the RAM is not fitted properly (or it is bad)? Or maybe some error
in bios configuration or a buggy bios. In case of a buggy bios a kernel
compilation might help (I had to recompile my kernel because of buggy apm
support in the bios - ctrl+alt+BS would stop the machine even if the
feature is disabled in bios)
