After seeing this in action at Binand's place, I must recommend this
to those who have spent say 5-6 months with any other Linux. The
system requires you to manually insmod/lsmod/ifconfig etc so that you
can network enable the _base_ syste, which does not have many
scripts like linuxconf/yast and these will, in fact, do good to
most of us who are new here. I most seriously advice people to try
out Debian, will make you much more comfortable when it comes to
troubleshooting any installation. Lest I should appear too optimistic,
I will stop here and be back AFTER the download at retosrt/Binand is
complete.

Anytime. When one knows little, enthusiasm kicks up to accelerate
learning. Just call me up when the download is complete. [Last time
I saw it was 10 days, some hrs and some more minutes :-D]
