Hi all,
I am facing a rather peculiar problem while installing
linux.
The machine specs
celeron 500Mhz, 20GB seagate disk---> is recognized correctly by the bios
128MB ram + i810 motherboard.
The problem is that when I boot the machine thro' the PCquest RH6.2 CD, it
gives a message saying " VFS kernel panic"
and doesnt proceed.
What do you think the problem is:
Is it because of the disk size ? I have installed on disks upto 17GB,
this is my first 20GB disk.
The linux partition is well within 1024 cylinders.
regards
krishna
