Hi devdas,
the following is the output of cat /proc/meminfo (RH6.0), and at the end
is my lilo.conf.
total: used: free: shared: buffers: cached:
Mem: 64651264 55902208 8749056 23871488 3559424 42790912
Swap: 131567616 274432 131293184
MemTotal: 63136 kB
MemFree: 8544 kB
MemShared: 23312 kB
Buffers: 3476 kB
Cached: 41788 kB
SwapTotal: 128484 kB
SwapFree: 128216 kB
--------------
has it anything to do with my linux hanging again and again. how to
fine-tune it?
my impressions are:
- 55MB in used appears to be too high. what say?
- my swap is 125Megs. how is it showing 131M?
- mine is 64M. "period". why is it showing 63 in memtotal (shall become
further less if converted from kB to MB)
-----------------
lilo.conf
-hda6 has RH6.0, hda1 has RH6.2, why 2.2.5-15 at both places?
- why read-only lines?
- where to add [ append="mem=60m" ] or [ mem=60m ], as somebody
suggested.
regards.
