latest windows media player ver 8.0 was in some cd i think pcq jun2k. i
jumped to install it. on running setup, it retorted, "could not find
ie4.0 or above, can't proceed with install".
appears that Mr gates had decided to gift this new version only for win
loyalists. as i am not having ie 3/4/5, (usnig NS4.7) i did not qualify.
did i install ie5.0? hell, no, i deleted player 8.0 :)
this is the type of fanatical integration, for which MS continues to get
booted at its as_, but does not learn. that's why judge jackson's
verdict is timely and justified.
