Hi SP,
No, you can't disable banners by using tcpd: that works only for
incoming (server) connections, not outgoing (client) connections.
I'd written an article on how to suppress ads using Apache as a proxy
server, which was published in LJ March 2000. I'll put it up on a web
site within a couple of days.
