Hi all
I recently bought AMD K6II 500. And a major problem I am facing is
compiling.
I tried to compile kernel and Qt 2.1.1. Both of them terminated with
Signal 11. Same is the case for Alsa driver 0.58b.
IIRC, Signal 11 is for faulty hardware. I have changed my RAM with mobo
for 100MHz bus. Everything else works fine but I face problems with *big*
compilations.
Also I occasionally get internal compiler errors. I got them on Celeron
400 also. But a repeated 'make clean;make' worked. I did thi for Qt-2.1.1
and KDE2. At last when KDE2 compilation completed, it was not at all
stable.
The problems on AMD K6 are occuring under both RHL6.1 and 6.2.(Both PCQ).
Although whe I start compiling, I am not sure which one of problem will
occur, I am almost sure that the compilation will fail...
