the problem of delayed telnet is due to the tcpwrapper scripts which are
first called by inetd which rund the in.telnetd.This wrapper actually does a
forward and reverse dns lookup before granting permission for telnet.
so make sure UR dns is configured properly,Try a nslookup with the dns set in
resolv.conf to your prim DNS.and make sure there is no delay for both forweard
and reverse lookups.
