Hi Raju,

When U installed LILO in u'r MBR, did the BLUE Ontrack screen appear - No
right? After that when U reinstalled Ontrack was u'r data intact??? Also
when U booted to linux without Ontrack, was the data (in other windows
partitions) intact - could U "see" them???

In fact Yes, the Blue ontrack screen appeared and than I could see the lilo prompt. How
is still a puzzle. The when I type suse SuSE linux booted. After again rebooting I
tried
to load windows, I got the following :

LILO : win
loadlin windows%

Nothing but reset again and using ontrack floppy rewrite MBR. Now lilo is gone and only
ontrack os blue screen comes and than back to loadlin.

After doing all the above things the data on my windows partition was intact and I can
still
boot windows. Other Windows partitions and the data on them is intact.

Regards

Rajesh
