Hi Kedar,

I gotta say I don't buy that spiel. If you're gonna credit everybody
who contributed in the name it should be
GNU/Apache Group/XFree86/Gnome/KDE/AT&T/Mom/Dad/My Agent/My
Producer/Rest of the Oscar Acceptance Speech Linux

There are ports of the GNU tools to Win32. Should it be called MS
GNU/Windows if you use 'em ?

Or conversely, assuming you managed to replicate the Winduhs
environment on Linux with Wine, say. Would you then call it Microsoft
Linux ?

FreeBSD is starting to use many of the GNU tools -- is it now
GNU/FreeBSD ?

An OS is not defined by the programs that run on it, even the most
vital ones.

Linux is Linux. Just because RMS feels he's not getting enough credit
is no reason to rename it. Renaming it GNU/Linux is a slap in the face
to everybody else who contributed.
