Hi,

In our office we are connecting through dos based PC's to SCO Unix server using GT
terminal emulation software. In the configuration file of GT we have to put the
hostname of the server and the
IP of the machine from which we are connecting to the SCO server, since no DHCP
configured on SCO.

Now we have installed Red Hat 6.2 on our new server. This server is not yet connected
to LAN.

On one of the machines on the LAN I installed Linux and I could get connectivity to
Linux from the nodes using GT terminal emulation software, from linux I could connect
to SCO server. All this was done using Static IP addresses. Node, SCO server, Linux
server have been given their IP's.

Now I have configured the Linux machine as DHCP server. If I run the GT software will
I be able
to connect to the Linux server using DHCP. If the client is a linux machine than
dhcpcd has to
be installed. What about dos based software connecting using teminal emulation
software ?
Will they also will be assigned dynamic IP's aumatically by Linux server ?
What other changes need to be made to make this work ?

Thanks in advance.
