I downloaded a binary-only tarball from the BitchX site last week.
Works perfectly on my SuSE 6.3 system. IIRC, you're on SuSE too.
Noted one thing. The tarball contained 3 executable files, but none of
them were marked as executable.
Sorry for the late reply, was underground for the last two days
avoiding mobs. :)
