You've had it. Replace the modem or help to write a driver. Go to
linmodem.org and either pray or be prayed. You've managed to buy a good
telephone that has a PCI connector instead of a 2 pin jack. Hopefully the
2.4 kernel will have better support for Linux-telephony. You might need
some drivers and applications though which you can check out at
linux-telephony.org (if they're ready). The "SoftK56" in the output shows
it all. If you can get it to work, tell me, I too have one of these (still
trying to make sense out of the Linux Device driver book). (You might try
contacting D-Link, but I've done that already.)
