When I installed it was taking 1 mb so I had to append a mem=127M line
inlilo.conf...
I dunno how memory is shared in linux. does it allocate addidional ram
for video using agpgart. also there is the fatc that there is z-buffer
video cache and system ram used for vram. maybe your z-buffer video
cache is 2mb /4 mb and shared memory is 1mb
