The mailing list manager (majordomo2) routinely scans emails that it
receuves before sending it out to the subscribed users. This is done to
ensure that the post meets the guidelines and rules of posting to the
list. This kind of scanning ensures that the much hated HTML emails and
others don't get through.
Also, lazy slobs who don't read and save the first welcome email they get
when they subscribe to this list will frequenelt send unsubscribe requests
to the list (instead of [EMAIL PROTECTED]). The mailing
list software will bounce all such email to the list admin for review and
approval / rejection. This kind of scheme ensures that the subscribers
don't get bombarded with HTML emails and unsubscribe requests.
