Hi! You have to install cyrus-sasl package first. You can grab the source, compile it and install. You can add your own authentication module to this too(e.g., MySQL). Then after installing Cyrus-IMapd, configure ur imap server. The entry in /etc/imapd.conf should be as follows, sasl_pwcheck_method: <whateva> go through the docs of sasl. HTW Jack.
