What remote machine? How remote machine? Is someone telnetting in from
the remote machine? Is someone FTP-ing in? Is someone on remote machine
connecting a web server running on your machine? How can you expect us to
help you if you don't give us enough information.

nslookup is a utility to translate IP addresses into machine names and vice
versa.
