Hi Everybody There ,
Actually I'm trying to Configure 128 Kbps Zyxel Omni Modem on Redhat 6.2
but unable to connect with it .Hereby I am outlining the steps I have
performed .
1. To Enable the Modem for 128 Kbps connectivity I launched Minicom &
performed following steps .
2. Typed AT Respnse OK
3 . Typed ATI Response 1281
4 . Typed ATI1 Response ZYXEL OMNI
5. Now for enabling MULTILINK PPP I Typed 'AT&J3'
6 . For Saving the above done Configuration I Type ' AT&W0'.
7. Now I Save the Settings & Reset the Modem & Dial the VSNL Numbers
Once at a time as well as Two Nos. at timt ' ATDI phone1+phone2' ( The
Only Two Phone Numbers provided by VSNL are 3340410 , 6295844 --- Any
Help In This matter !!!!!!!!! )
8 .But It does not Connect with the VSNL,( the ISP ) , It always says
'NO CARRIER ' or ' NO DIALTONE'
9. I'm Unable to decipher the exact cause of problem . The VSNL says
their Phone Lines are up & running .
10 Kindly advise me in this matter what to do ?
