[LIH] gnozip

Hi,
This is a strange problem... I have gnozip.tar , which when
extracted with tar -xf gives errors saying the file is not in tar
archieve format, etc..,But from mc or kfm the file is opening fine(i.e
showing the contents of the archive) ?
Any Suggestions....?

P.S--> Pl give the url if anybody has managed to get the rpm
            version.
