What for? All X configuration utilities help you fill in the entries in that
file. If you know what you are doing, you can directly tinker with that file.
Keep a backup of file. If anything goes wrong, restore the original, and
restart. It's true for almost every service that uses text configuration file.
That's the power of unix/Linux.
