Hi All! As I do not have a CD writer, I have kept one of the partition of my single hard disk for backup, where I routinely tar-gzip my system files and keep that partition unmounted all the time. The question is whether it's safe? Another point. Should one go for a single large hard disk or several small ones? In the event of a failure, on a single harddisk, all data will be gone, whereas, if I have several disks, if one fails, I still have others (like a RAID system). So, should I go for the second choice?
