Yeah there is. That is known as registering your own domain. You need to
pay $70 to the internic for that (and answer a lot of questions). You
might also try the indian nic. Also some commercial companies are doing it
at a cheaper rate (I'm not sure how). Then you need to tell vsnl that you
have a domain of your own and not to make use dynamic ip when you connect.
(or find a friend with a domain who'll allow you to put your machine on
the network ;-)
