Hi all
I have RH 6.2. My campus network requires me to use DHCP. So i have configured the
network accordingly on the machine. Everything works as such well on the pc. I have 2
queries.
1. I want to know what client I have - dhcpcd or dhclient. which one does RH 6.2 come
by default.
2. How do I change the Lease time that the client requests for at the boot process.
Apparantly right now it is very less. As a result each time I boot the machine I have
a diff IP. I want to somehow try to get back the same IP. Can anyone advise how to do
the same.
Apparantly when i boot from windows it tries to reserve the IP for 30 days.I want to
do the same for linux.
