I would also suggest rsync, but if you have to do it through ftp,
there is a program called weex (webpage exchanger) which works alright
- it just checks the timestamps and size and exchanges files. Search
on freshmeat for it. But it doesn't support the fancy features that
rsync does, like transferring only the differences, checksum, etc..
etc.. Basically - "man rsync" :-)
