Hi ,
I am trying to create a database program ( to computerise office work
in a college) . I have decided to set up the server using PostgreSQL running
on Linux.
But, I cannot decide how to configure the clients ( using Linux clients
is out of question). The clients should be able to run a front-end ( text-based
but full screen) and also accommodate a printer(DMP, may be) to print
reports, etc. This type of configuration seems to be common. The UTI Bank
uses one ( developed by TCS ).
Can we use terminals for this ? Is there color terminals out there ? (
Colour is essential ) Can Linux support terminals ? If yes, how do we
configure them ?
Any help ( even pointers to web pages ) will be appreciated very much.
        Thanks.
