Hi,

Is it possible to stop a printout and continue forward / start from backward using
Linux LP.

On SCO we are using dcmspool to accomplish the above task.

Ex. : say out of 100 pages after 30 pages there was some printer problem, then we do
the following :

        lps - stop the printing
lpc - continue the printing with some options like -p <no of pages>

This continues from page 28th onwards if we give lpc -p 2

Is something of this kind possible in Linux ?

The above stuff was changed by DCM company and we were using DCM spooler instead of
UNIX spooler due to the above advantages. Now we want to do the same under Linux.

Thanks in advance.

Rajesh
