I agree with Suresh. Though your mails were informative, this
doesn't mean mean that you flood the list. Almost everyone here finds 5-10
new interesting things everyday whenever doing a serious surf. And if
something appears new to you, it might not to all.

Quite true. Not everyone needs that rpm. If someone is interested,
he may download it from the url you provide or ask you to mail it to
him. (You can ask interested people to mail you in person). India still is
hungry for bandwidth. Consider the cost to the mailserver when it sends
such huge mails to a thousand users both in terms of time and money.

I agree that we all feel bad when someone complains when our kind
gesture towards them doesn;t work out to be as good as they thought. But
these people are just like those who say linux is useless when they can't
get a hardware work with it.
What I feel it is the hype of perfectness around Open-Source
software which is the cause of what happened with Ivan Moore and which
made Atul feel bad. People are no experts. They just want things to work
out of the box. And complain if they dont.

Now you are hurting us all. What probability do you have that the
person who offended Ivan was Indian??
Almost everyone gets flamed once in a while. I had my lesson when
I took a "panga" with thats. I confess that I was hurt. But slowly I
understood that it was my ignorance alongwith a bit of self ego which made
me feel bad. And now It doesn't hurt my ego to accept that I *was* wrong
at that time.
Getting Flamed is just another way to enlightenment :-)

We all are here to help each other, that's the purpose of the
list. I assure you that noone here wants to offend anyone else.
