When I was using icewm I used an array of xterms as my filemanager. :) In
fact I *still* do, under WindowMaker.
Frankly, I got tired of IceWM because it looked too much like 'doze. If you
want a *very* fast, *very* light, themable WM, then try Blackbox

Of course *real men* use wmx http://www.all-day-breakfast.com/wmx/ . :-)
