This is a PCI card.

Since the custom kernel by default supports specialix card. Just load the specialix
module in /etc/rc.d/rc.local. No kernel compilation needed.

insmod specialix.

Created the devices (ttyW0,ttyW1...8) with the following script :

for i in 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
do
echo -n "$i"
mknod /dev/ttyW$i c 75 $i
done
echo " "

Than in /etc/inittab add the following

W0:23:respawn:/sbin/getty ttyW0 DT9600 vm2820
W1:23:respawn:/sbin/getty ttyW1 DT9600 vm2820
W2:23:respawn:/sbin/getty ttyW2 DT9600 vm2820
W3:23:respawn:/sbin/getty ttyW3 DT9600 vm2820
W4:23:respawn:/sbin/getty ttyW4 DT9600 vm2820
W5:23:respawn:/sbin/getty ttyW5 DT9600 vm2820
W6:23:respawn:/sbin/getty ttyW6 DT9600 vm2820
W7:23:respawn:/sbin/getty ttyW7 DT9600 vm2820

Our dumb terminals are vm2820. You can replace that with you terminal type.

$init q

All the above thing was possible with all the help I got from the fellow listers.

That's all.

Hope this helps.

Rajesh
