Which soundcard do you have? Anyway have you tried using the command
"sndconfig" at the console. ? Hopefully that should work.
2. >Another thing is that I have 128 RAM, but the Linux only seems to want
64Mb of it. Can I get to use the whole thing? If so, how?
edit the /etc/lilo.conf file and append a line as follows
image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.2.14-5.0smp
label=linux
initrd=/boot/initrd-2.2.14-5.0smp.img
append="mem=128M"
<--------------------------------- this is the line u have to add! Dont
change the other lines leave them alone.
read-only
root=/dev/sda5
3. >A third problem I have is that I have an internal Winmodem. Can I
connect to the internet on Linux using that?
You are in luck only if you have a Lucent Winmodem. For further information
please go to http://www.linmodems.org
I think that should help.
