hi,
i need some help on the following.
i upgraded my motherboard from a 44bx to asus p3vx4. i just booted linux and started
my work.
i found the following problems.
1. the network card isn't working. the error message says the pci bios has alocated
IRQ 0 , and it won't work.
i cannot shut down my computer and make the changes in
the bios as some important programs are running.
i need to know as how to make the irq allocation without rebooting. the NIC has to use
IRQ 11. my soud is'nt working because of the irq clash
2. how to unload modules. i.e if i want to unload the sound module . how do i do it?
3. i need to xfs to start and stop when i run X. i do not want to be run as daemon.
