hi
could some one explain as to why i am getting the following err messages when i
mount the cdrom when i boot up my linux box. for subsequent mounts the error message
sdo not appear. how do i get work around this
mount /mnt/cdrom

hdc: timeout waiting for DMA
hdc: irq timeout: status=0x58 { DriveReady SeekComplete DataRequest }

Error: Unit attention -- (Sense key=0x06)
Power on, reset or bus device reset occured -- (asc=0x029, ascq=0x00)
